Jay Rhoads, Jr., APMA®

Born and raised in the tight-knit community of South Williamsport, Pennsylvania, Jay Rhoads is a dedicated financial professional, community leader, and proud American soldier. He attended Lock Haven University, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice in 2011. During his time at Lock Haven, Jay cultivated critical thinking skills and a deep appreciation for justice and integrity. Following his undergraduate studies, Jay pursued his interest in automotive restoration at The Pennsylvania College of Technology, graduating with an Associate's degree in Automotive Restoration in 2015. This unique blend of academic experiences laid the foundation for Jay's diverse skill set and holistic approach to problem-solving.

His journey into the financial services industry began during his deployment in Kuwait, 2013, where a fellow soldier hosted a class on Financial Peace. This experience ignited a passion for financial literacy and empowerment, prompting Jay to take immediate action upon returning home. At the age of 25, he sought out a financial advisor and embarked on his investment journey. With a diverse range of licenses and certifications, including Series 7, Series 66 (held both with LPL Financial), PA Life and Health, and APMA - Accredited Portfolio Management Advisor, Jay is well-equipped to provide comprehensive financial guidance tailored to his clients' needs.

Jay currently serves our country side-by-side with President & CEO, Nick Subich, as a Sergeant First Class with Bravo Company in Williamsport, PA. His relationship with Subich, forged during their time in the military, led to an opportunity to join YTS. His military service has instilled in him a deep sense of discipline, leadership, and commitment to duty, qualities that he brings to his role at YTS and his interactions with clients. Jay's dedication to both his military responsibilities and his role at YTS exemplifies his unwavering commitment to serving his community and making a positive impact in the lives of those around him.

Outside of work, Jay volunteers his time on the Susquehannock AACA board, organizing local car shows and events, and serves on the South Williamsport Little League Board, coaching youth sports teams.

Family is at the heart of Jay's life. He resides in Avis, Pennsylvania, with his fiancée and their growing family, which includes their sons Marcus, Colston, daughter Sienna, and twin girls on the way.

In his free time, Jay finds solace in the great outdoors. Whether it's hiking through the lush forests, casting a line while fishing, tracking game during hunting season, or simply camping under the stars, he relishes the opportunity to disconnect from technology and reconnect with nature.

Jay's story is one of dedication, service, and a relentless pursuit of personal and professional fulfillment. Through his work in the financial services industry and his commitment to his community and family, he continues to make a lasting impact on those around him.
